i've been dipping my toes into the rest of neocities lately. i've even joined some webrings and fanlistings!
turns out that even on the indie web it's hard to find truly interesting blogs. i've come across some fun ones where users share their projects and hobbies but those get lost in a sea of the usual neocities demographic of begendered therian neopronoun having zoomers. i suppose i should keep in mind they're who neocities belongs to now, the rest of us are just outliers.
but i don't mean to complain too much. i do my best at ignoring sites i don't like, although it's not like i can exclude them from the search system. so i will keep getting jumpscared by 13 year old otherkins lol. i'll continue looking for those hidden gems. maybe i should branch out to other site hosts.
i've been learning so many new things about website design, but now i'm conflicted about adding more fun pages versus sticking to my original plans. ultimately i just want this place to be a simple archive for my collections. i (probably) won't nuke my entries/reviews or anything, but maybe i do need a separate blog for my art and journaling? on here i could stick to reviewing monkey related media only or something lol. basically i'm putting a lot of myself out there and i feel the need to reign it in. for now i'll be sure to loosely follow my original vision.
